Dr. Lyn Edmonson joins West Suburban Veterinary Associates

Lyn M. Edmonson, DVM, has joined West Suburban Veterinary Associates (WSVA) as an associate veterinarian. Her areas of expertise are preventive care, internal medicine, surgery and diagnostic medicine. WSVA is located at 518 N. Warwick Ave., Westmont.

"I have a passion for excellent client service and feel strongly that a dog or cat's treatment be a collaboration between the owner and myself," Dr. Edmonson said. "Listening to the owner is critical; they know their pet better than anyone. I enjoy explaining diseases and treatment options in layman's terms so together we can make the best decision possible for their furry family member."

Dr. Edmonson has been practicing small animal medicine for more than eight years. She is proficient in soft tissue surgeries, surgical dental extractions and has a special interest in Cold Laser Therapy.

She graduated with honors from the University of Illinois, Urbana, where she received a Doctor of Veterinary Medicine degree. She received an MBA with honors from the University of Notre Dame, South Bend, Indiana. In addition, Dr. Edmonson earned a bachelor's degree in Accountancy from the University of Illinois.

She resides in Naperville with her two rescue dogs, Janie and Heidi, and her two rescue cats, Violet and Cali. In her spare time she enjoys cooking, reading and hiking.

"We welcome Dr. Edmonson to the practice," said Dr. Alan Main, owner of WSVA. "Her experience and her unconditional love for dogs and cats make her a valued member of the team."

"I am thrilled to be a part of such a talented team of veterinarians and technicians," she said. "The care provided at WSVA is beyond excellent."
