Aurora chef talks turkey on Butterball hotline

If you called the Butterball Turkey Talk-Line on Thanksgiving, you might have been speaking with Aurora resident Phyllis Kramer. She has been fielding inquiries for the free helpline for 14 years. Because turkey is often the star of holiday dinners throughout December, Kramer will be on the job talking turkey through Christmas Eve. She and 50 other volunteers who staff the call center in Naperville will take questions via phone, email, text, livechat at Butterball.com and social media. Talk-Line hours are 8 a.m. to 6 p.m. through Dec. 23; from 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 17-18 and 8 a.m. to 2 p.m. Dec. 24. Call (800) BUTTERBALL, (800) 288-8372.
