St. Thomas the Apostle announces Christmas season Mass schedule

All Masses and celebrations will be held in the church unless noted otherwise. Please note the regular weekend Mass schedule will be suspended for the weekends of Dec. 24 - 25 and Dec. 31 - Jan. 1.

The holiday schedule is:

Christmas Eve, Saturday, Dec. 24:

4:00 p.m. - church; 4:10 p.m. - the gymnasium in the church building. Both Masses include gospel pageants and are geared toward families. Children are invited to dress up as angels or drummers and will be called forward during Mass to participate. The young and the young at heart are welcome.

4:30 p.m. - St. Patrick's Residence, next door to St. Thomas (immediately East of the church), at 1400 Brookdale Road. St. Thomas liturgical and music ministers will assist with this Mass.

7:00 p.m. - The young adult Mass in the church features high school students and young adults. Those of any age are joyfully invited to attend.

9:30 p.m. - An hour of Christmas carols sung by the Voices of Faith, the St. Thomas adult choir, precedes the solemn Christmas Mass in the Church.

10:30 p.m. - The solemn Christmas Mass in the church celebrating Christ's birth.

Christmas Day, Sunday, Dec. 25

9:00 a.m. - Mass

11:00 a.m. - Mass

New Year's Eve, Saturday, Dec, 31

8:30 a.m. - Mass

4:30 p.m. - Mass

New Year's Day, Sunday, Jan. 1

9:00 a.m. - Mass

11:00 a.m. - Mass

Saturday, Jan. 7

The regular weekly Mass schedule resumes. Weekend Masses are celebrated at 4:30 p.m. Saturday (vigil); and at 8:00, 9:30 and 11:15 a.m., and at 6:00 p.m. Sunday. Weekdays include a Communion service at 6:30 a.m. and Mass at 8:30 a.m. Saturday morning Masses are at 8:30 a.m.
