Gurnee police arrest 7 during crackdown

Gurnee police have released results from a Thanksgiving holiday traffic enforcement crackdown. The campaign, which ran from Nov. 14 to 28, focused on enhanced impaired driving and seat belt enforcement activities throughout the village. Gurnee officers made seven drug- and alcohol-related arrests and issued 17 seat belt citations as part of the effort funded by a grant from the Illinois Department of Transportation and the National Highway Traffic Safety Administration.
