Balanced Streamwood defeats Larkin

Streamwood's girls basketball team got a balanced scoring effort to down Larkin 51-43 Friday night in Upstate Eight River action at Streamwood.

Freshman Mandy Mien led the Sabres (3-3, 1-1) with 13 points while Andrea Bracy and Jenejah Williams added 10 each.

Senior Marlee Kyles paced Larkin (3-2, 0-1) with 30 points.

Streamwood made 21 of 37 free throw attempts to Larkin's 3 of 11.

Hiawatha 38, Westminster Christian 31: In the Northeastern Athletic Conference, Emly Lamp led Westminster with 13 points and 5 rebounds. Elise Van Noord added 10 points and 8 rebounds for the Warriors and Sophie Kovachevich had 10 rebounds.

CL South 39, Prairie Ridge 34: Annika Sevcik (7 rebounds) and Taylor Jozefowicz had 12 points each to lead Crystal Lake South to this Fox Valley Conference win.
