Police advise against unsupervised searches of missing boy

PEKIN, Ill. (AP) - Police in central Illinois are advising people not to conduct any unsupervised searches in the woods for a 13-year-old boy missing for two weeks.
Pekin police spokesman Mike Eeten told the (Peoria) Journal Star (http://bit.ly/2gQw7mm ) that such searches could damage any evidence they uncover and, in the midst of deer hunting season, endanger the searchers.
Police are offering a $1,000 reward for information in the disappearance of Robert Bee Jr. The boy's mother reported him missing on Nov. 18. Police say they have found nothing yet to indicate the boy was abducted. Pekin police designated him a runaway.
