Fashion guru coming to Naperville

His role as a fashion consultant and writer led Clinton Kelly into a TV career on TLC network's "What Not to Wear," and then to ABC's "The Chew."

Now he's hitting the road to promote his new book, "I Hate Everyone, Except You," and early next year he'll be coming to Naperville for an appearance at North Central College's Wentz Hall, 171 E. Chicago Ave.

Kelly will appear at 7 p.m. Jan. 13 in a program sponsored by Anderson's Bookshop. Tickets are available exclusively at ClintonKellyAndersons.brownpapertickets.com.

Kelly's book features a candid, deliciously snarky collection of essays about his journey from awkward kid to slightly-less-awkward adult.

In his book, he reveals some heretofore-unknown secrets about himself, like that he's a disillusioned critic of New Jersey's water parks, and perhaps the world's least enthused high-school commencement speaker.
