Naperville Riverwalk Café to close for winter

Beginning December 1, the Riverwalk Café will close for the winter months of December, January and February, except for limited hours on winter weekends during peak sledding times on Rotary Hill. Regular hours will resume in early spring, weather permitting.

"The Café will offer a limited menu of hot beverages, appetizers and snacks for people who stop in while sledding is going on at Rotary Hill," said Brad Wilson, director of recreation for the Naperville Park District. "Otherwise, the Café will remain closed throughout the months of December, January and February."

The Café will remain available for private rentals. Groups interested in a private event at the Riverwalk Café may call 630-864-3973 for more information or to schedule their outing.

Sled Hills are open when the ground is frozen with two or more inches of snow and when there is no visible grass. The Rotary Hill sled hill is a lighted facility and when snow cover permits, will be open weekdays until 9:00 p.m. and Friday and Saturday until 10:00 p.m.

Check the weather cancellation tab at www.napervilleparks.org for sled hill and skating information. Check www.napervilleparks.org/riverwalkcafe or signs posted on site for Café hours during sledding.
