Coroner says 2 workers at subdivision were shot to death
LOCKPORT, Ill. (AP) - Autopsies by the Will County coroner have determined two workers found dead at a northern Illinois construction site were shot to death.
Lockport police on Wednesday identified the victims as brothers 37-year-old Marco Ceja Sanchez and 36-year-old David Ceja Sanchez, both of Aurora. The men were working on townhomes in a Lockport subdivision. Co-workers found their bodies at the construction site when they arrived for work on Tuesday morning.
Police say the two men had been working a job as drywall installers.
Authorities said they believe the shooting of the men was an isolated incident and don't pose a danger to the community. Police asked anyone with information or may have witnessed something that could aid in the investigation to come forward.
Lockport is about 35 miles southwest of Chicago.
