Stick to your heart, bandwagon fans

Across the United States, millions of sports fans gather to witness history in the making at the end of every season. The top four sports cartels in the U.S. crown new champions each year, granting the wishes and fulfilling dreams of loyal fans from cities around the country.

But what sets many true fans off is the tremendous amount of bandwagon fans that suddenly begin to follow that team because of their success.

In the recent decade, teams such as the Miami Heat, Los Angeles Lakers, New England Patriots, Golden State Warriors, and even the Chicago Blackhawks have undergone transformations unlike no other. These franchises are the epitome of well-established businesses in the sports world. What tends to follow the prosperity in these cases is a mass of deemed "bandwagon fans," who claim to behold true passion for a team of whom they just began following.

In short, stick to your heart. Ask yourself, where have I invested my hours as a sports fan throughout my life? As a die-hard Chicago White Sox fan, I have lived through years of greatness, and years of despair, but it always feels great to know that I will always cheer on the southsiders, without letting any outside influences get in my way.
