Firehouse Subs to aid Toys for Tots

Firehouse Subs restaurants are teaming up with the U.S. Marine Corps and Project Join Us to kick off a collection drive campaign, benefiting Toys for Tots.

Several participating restaurants will donate a Toy Story Woody Doll to Toys for Tots in honor of first responders, which will include a personalized note from World War II veteran, Elwood Hughes (Woody) to help inspire today's youth.

To launch the campaign, the Stone Park restaurant at 3124 W. North Ave. is hosting a fundraiser at 11:30 a.m. today with 15 percent of total sales for the day going toward the purchase of new toys for the Toys for Tots program. Additionally, the restaurant will have games and activities throughout the day with prizes ranging from free food and beverage items, to making a donation on behalf of the cause in a guest's name.
