South Elgin takes 5th at Sycamore

Logan Atkins scored 18 points Saturday to lead South Elgin's boys basketball team to a 57-56 overtime win against Genoa-Kingston in the fifth-place game of the Strombom Tournament at Sycamore.

Collin Uveges and Christopher Hankins had 9 points each for the Storm.

Hampshire 51, Dundee-Crown 49 (OT): Hampshire picked up its first win of the season Saturday, defeating District 300 rival Dundee-Crown at the Strombom Tournament in Sycamore. Nathan Cork led the Whip-Purs (1-3) with 12 points and Billy Dumoulin added 10. Tariq Burns had 17 points for Dundee-Crown (1-3) and Jack Orndahl pitched in with 10.

Harvest Christian 68, St. Louis Soldan 53: Andre White, Jr. had 18 points, 5 rebounds, 6 assists and 3 steals as Harvest Christian finished 2-1 at the Cadence Health Center Tournament in St. Louis. Brennan Woods added 15 points and 11 rebounds for the Lions. Both were named to the all-tournament team.

Barrington 60, Huntley 40: Matthew Seng had 9 points and Zach Loviesky added 8 for Huntley in this loss at the Crystal Lake Central tournament.

Bartlett 61, Streamwood 44: At the Wheaton Academy tournament, Ben Tompson scored 20 points to lead the Hawks past Streamwood. Austin Gates added 14 for Bartlett and Drew Martin 11. Malik Butler led Streamwood with 9 points while Cole Keenan and Brendon Marton had 8 each.

Geneva 59, McHenry 52: At the Crystal Lake Central tournament, Cole Navigato had 21 points and Noah Davison added 13 to lead Geneva (4-0).
