County hosts telephone town hall
Wonder what the Lake County Board does? Find out as Lake County holds its first telephone town hall meeting at 7 p.m. Dec. 13. Lake County Board Chairman Aaron Lawlor will discuss priorities, and participants can share their thoughts on what is important and how tax dollars should be allocated. The county board is going to update its strategic plan and is looking for input on what is important to residents. The county receives about 7 percent of the total tax bill and the money is used to fund roads, public safety, courts, health care and other services.
