UPDATE NOV. 11 Amazon is currently offering discounts on refurbished versions of its popular devices:

ORIGINAL STORY NOV. 1 While the nation cleans up Halloween tricks and binges on sweet treats, Amazon is getting a jumpstart on the holiday shopping season.

The e-commerce giant today launched its Black Friday Deals Store and over a dozen curated gift guides.

More than three weeks ahead of the annual busiest shopping day of the year, Amazon is inviting customers to find "tens of thousands" of festive bargains. Accessible through Dec. 22, the Deals Store features discounts on electronics, toys, clothing, jewelry, kitchen items, and more. Among those deals to watch out for:

"This holiday season, we're offering more deals than ever before and-for the first time ever-giving Prime members an opportunity to use Alexa voice shopping for purchasing their holiday gifts hands-free," Doug Herrington, senior vice president of North American Retail at Amazon, said in a statement.

Simply ask your Echo, Echo Dot, Tap, Fire TV, or Fire tablet to buy the gadget of your choice.

To encourage voice ordering, Amazon has incentives like a $5 gift card for those who order an Alexa-exclusive deal or 25 percent off a Tide laundry bundle when you order with Alexa.

Prime members receive an additional 20 percent discount on pre-order and new release video games, and can shop thousands of Lightning Deals with 30-minute early access, as well as free shipping options.

Finding the perfect present for friends and family, however, can be stressful. So Amazon also released more than 20 gift guides to help steer you in the right direction. They include luxury beauty, sports, musical instruments, handmade, grocery, fashion, home, toys, and electronics, among others. Click through to narrow your shopping parameters, or just scroll through pages of ideas.

The guides are accessible on mobile, too, with new functions like Package X-Ray, which allows iPhone owners to see what's in a box without opening it. Beginning Nov. 15, scan the barcode with your phone and the contents will appear on the screen. Customers can also use the camera icon to search and add items to a Wish List.
