No injuries in Naperville house fire

No injuries were reported Wednesday morning in a house fire on the 3400 block of White Eagle Drive, Naperville firefighters said.

Crews responded at 11:20 a.m. after a passer-by reported flames coming from the second floor of the two-story house. The first firefighters on the scene found flames coming from the eaves at the front of the house and the fire eventually spread to the roof.

Firefighters brought the fire under control within 10 minutes and it was fully extinguished within 30 minutes. Crews remained on the scene for another half-hour.

Everyone was out of the house by the time firefighters arrived.

The fire has been ruled accidental and apparently started in an outside light fixture.

Authorities said the family was able to move back into the house.

Units from the Downers Grove Fire Department and the Plainfield Fire Protection District assisted in providing coverage to the rest of the city.
