Police searching for man who robbed Waukegan gas station

Waukegan police are searching for a man who robbed the BP Amoco gas station at 2930 Belvidere Road with a handgun around 7 p.m. Tuesday.
The robber was described a white man standing around 5 foot, 10 inches tall and weighing 200 pounds. He was wearing a black jacket with a red hoodie underneath that concealed his face, according to a news release.
Cmdr. Joe Florip said surveillance cameras at the store captured images of the man but the images were not yet available for release.
The amount of money the man took from the store is not being released by Waukegan police.
