Grayslake leaf collection extended

The village of Grayslake will extend its annual leaf vacuuming program into the week of Nov. 28 to accommodate late-falling leaves in some areas of the community. The originally scheduled end date for this service was Nov. 26. Beginning Monday, Nov. 28, Waste Management will make one final pass through the community to collect any leaves placed at the curb. Crews will evaluate all routes Monday to plan the final collection route. To ensure leaves are collected, residents must have all leaves placed at the curb by no later than the evening of Sunday, Nov. 27. Waste Management will not make additional passes once a street has been cleared of leaves.
