Venture One nets award for industrial redevelopment

ROSEMONT - Venture One Real Estate's redevelopment of 2801 S. Western Ave. in Chicago has received the award for Industrial Redevelopment of the Year presented at the NAIOP Chicago 29th Annual Awards for Excellence.

The 277,523 square foot redevelopment project was a joint venture between Venture One and DRA Advisors. Venture One's renovations to the 1970s construction building included the addition of 38 exterior docks, new HVAC, lighting, ESFR sprinklers, additional cold storage, new parking lots, and rehabilitation of the office and building facade.

The project was financed by Wells Fargo, construction was completed by Keeley Construction and Arco Murray, architectural services were provided by Ware Malcomb Architects, structural design was done by Pease Borst and Associates and the project's civil engineer was Jacob & Hefner.

The brokerage team of Sally Macoicz, Larry Goldwasser and Colin Green of Cushman & Wakefield represented Venture One.

Venture One was also nominated as a NAIOP Chicago Finalist for "Industrial Build-To-Suit of the Year" for the 978,120 square foot 3M distribution center and for "Developer of the Year."
