Renz Center participates in #ILGIVE Nov. 29

In a global day of giving, Renz Addiction Counseling Center in Elgin is participating in #ILGIVE on Tuesday, Nov. 29, to help raise support for prevention education and treatment services. #ILGIVE is a day of giving that harnesses the collective power of individuals, communities and organizations to encourage philanthropy. To further strengthen the campaign locally, the Grand Victoria Foundation has announced that they will match all electronic individual donations up to $5,000 to Renz Center made on Nov. 29.

"With the uncertainty of a state budget and a poor outlook for 2017, this year's #ILGIVE donations are critical to the continuation of substance abuse treatment programs that benefit so many individuals in our community," said Renz Center's Executive Director Jerry Skogmo. "And with the Grand Victoria Foundation's matching support, the center can also provide Leadership Empowerment And Development camp programs to local teens next summer," Skogmo said.

#ILGIVE is held annually on the Tuesday after Thanksgiving to help kick-off the holiday giving season. #ILGIVE was created to inspire people to collaborate in improving their local communities and to give back in impactful ways to the charities and causes they support.
