Messi misses Malaga match after feeling unwell and vomiting

BARCELONA, Spain (AP) - Lionel Messi has been ruled out of Saturday's game against Malaga in the Spanish league after being sick.

Barcelona made the announcement just before the match at the Camp Nou, saying the playmaker "was not feeling well and had vomited."

Messi was expected to start for the Catalan club after playing two matches with Argentina in South American World Cup qualifying - a 3-0 loss to Brazil and a 3-0 win over Colombia, when he scored a goal.

Messi has experienced previous problems with vomiting. Unconfirmed reports said he fell ill on one of Argentina's flights during the World Cup qualifiers.
