Outlook: The Panthers picked up a postseason win last winter, upsetting Grayslake North in a regional play-in game at Hersey. And while they graduated leading scorer Miya Johnson, they do have some experience this season. Guard Leslie Diaz and 6-foot center Amparo Vargas are four-year varsity players. Juniors Griselda Martinez, Yamileth Lopez, Alexandria Ramirez and Hannah Brooks were all up on varsity last season. The roster also features four sophomores, including 5-8 guard Diane Flade, who played in a handful of varsity games last season and produced offensively.
