Lake Zurich Middle School South to present 'Beauty and the Beast' musical

Lake Zurich Middle School South will present the musical "Beauty and the Beast" in the gym on Thursday, Nov. 17 and Friday, Nov. 18, at 7 p.m., and Saturday, Nov. 19 at 2 p.m. This classic tale is the story of a young, arrogant prince put under a spell by an enchantress, who turns him into a hideous beast until he can learn how to love and be loved in return. The Lake Zurich Middle School South version of the show features more than 50 students in the cast, plus a live orchestra of 12 student musicians and 7 adult musicians. Thirty students make up the stage crew, which has been working hard on building and painting the set and working the lights and sound that bring the production together.
