Lake Forest Civic Orchestra to preform concert for veterans

The Lake Forest Civic Orchestra will perform beloved works from the opera at its concert, Sunday, Nov. 20, with a special invitation to military veterans. The performance begins at 4 p.m. at the John & Nancy Hughes Theater of the Gorton Community Center, 400 E. Illinois Road, Lake Forest. For more information, and to buy tickets, visit www.lakeforestcivicorchestra.org. For the past year, the orchestra has participated in VetTix.org, an organization that pairs current and former members of the military services with donated tickets. Featured vocal soloists include soprano Bridget Skaggs and tenor Zackary Vanderburg.
