Police seek 3 men in Highland Park gas station armed robbery

A Highland Park gas station attendant was robbed at gunpoint early Sunday morning, police said.

Highland Park police responded to a call at about 1 a.m. from Thornton's Gas Station, 55 Skokie Valley Road, police said in a news release.

Three men entered the store, displayed a silver handgun and demanded money from the store's lone gas station attendant, police said. The store was empty of customers at the time.

The three are described as black males wearing dark hooded sweatshirts. Two were wearing dark pants and the third was wearing lighter-colored pants. They fled in a dark-colored possible Chevrolet Malibu, police said.
