Police: Chicago man kills pregnant girlfriend, brother
CHICAGO (AP) - Chicago authorities say a 19-year-old man fatally shot his pregnant girlfriend and her 16-year-old brother, then critically injured their mother and a family friend.
Chicago police and medical examiners say Darryl Benton Harris faces charges including two counts of first-degree murder, one count of intentional homicide of an unborn child and two counts of attempted first-degree murder for the Nov. 3 attack at a South Side home.
Authorities say Harris left the home after arguing with Elijah House, returned with a gun and shot the boy in the back, then turned the gun on pregnant, 20-year-old Emoni House, her 42-year-old mother and a 30-year-old woman.
The Chicago Sun-Times reports (http://bit.ly/2fu2K5R ) Harris was ordered held without bond Friday following his arrest two days earlier.
It's unclear whether he has an attorney.
