Show for pet lovers this weekend at the Kane County Fairgrounds

The Chicago Pet Show opened Saturday at the Kane County Fairgrounds, 525 S. Randall Road in St. Charles.

The event, which continues from 10 a.m. to 5 p.m. Sunday, features more than 100 pet-related companies, several petting areas and opportunities to check out all things pet-related. Families are welcome to meet with local rescue organizations, watch magic acts, visit coldblooded creatures and caged birds, and learn about various pet services.

Admission is $7, free for seniors and for youth 17 and younger. For information, call (630) 385-4000 or go to chicagopetshow.com.
