I took this picture of this heron at a pond in Bolingbrook. I stalked this heron for over two hours and was happy to get this. Patience does pay off. I felt like the heron was posing for me. It showed it's full wings in all of it's glory and the reflection was able to mirror the pose. I love the fall colors reflected in the water to complement the heron and the blue hue around it. Nancy Havener of Naperville

This is a photograph that was captured at a golf course in Cary, Illinois. This is a composition of a hole on the course with the sunlight perfectly placed behind the tree. While on a tour of the course with a close friend of mine, I passed by this area while on a golf cart, and I had to stop immediately and capture the field with the clouds and shadows residing perfectly in the frame of my lens.
