Renz Center receives CARF Accreditation

CARF International has recently announced Renz Addiction Counseling Center has received accreditation for its adult and adolescent outpatient treatment programs. This accreditation decision represents the highest level of recognition that can be given to an organization and shows Renz Center's substantial conformance to CARF standards.

"Through the accreditation process, Renz Center had to prove its commitment to offering programs and services that are measurable, accountable, and of the highest quality," said Renz Center's Executive Director Jerry Skogmo. "I'm pleased that all of our treatment facilities located in Elgin, St. Charles, and Streamwood have received CARF accreditation."

CARF is an independent, nonprofit accrediting body whose mission is to promote the quality, value, and optimal outcomes of services through a consultative accreditation process and continuous improvement services that center on enhancing the lives of the persons served. Founded in 1966 as the Commission on Accreditation of Rehabilitation Facilities, and now known as CARF International, the accrediting body establishes consumer-focused standards to help organizations measure and improve the quality of their programs and services.

Renz Center provides a continuum of care dedicated to the prevention, intervention and treatment of addictive behaviors related to alcohol, drugs, and gambling. Services range from prevention programs for youth in the schools to outpatient treatment programs for adolescents and adults. Priority is given to pregnant women and women with dependent children. Offices are located in Elgin, St. Charles, and Streamwood.

Renz Addiction Counseling Center is a non-profit organization funded in part by the federal government, Fox Valley United Way, Illinois Department of Human Services, Hanover Township, Geneva, and St. Charles 708 mental health boards and other local community organizations.
