Student Leadership Council Receives Ed Snyder Merit Book Award

The Student Leadership Council at College of DuPage received the 2016 Ed Snyder Merit Book Award during the recent Illinois Community College Student Activities Association Fall Student Conference.

The Merit Book is a binder that contains a record of activities and service projects completed by a leadership council. Three colleges submitted merit books at the Professional Development Conference this past May, and College of DuPage was selected to receive the Ed Snyder award during the conference.

The SLC officers attending the conference were President Kiley Pooler (Downers Grove), Vice President Shara Refugio (Villa Park), ICCB Student Representative Ugne Narbutaite (Aurora), Civic Engagement Officer Emily Owens (Glen Ellyn), Operations Officer William Schillinger (Glen Ellyn), Service Officer Carolyn Metcalfe (Naperville) and Outreach Officer Daisy Martinez (Carol Stream).
