Calling all book lovers: Join a Nature Book Group!

All book lovers and nature enthusiasts are invited to join the Nature Book Group. Every month, the group will discuss a book about the environment, nature or related topics, and cover a broad range of environmental issues. Varying viewpoints are welcome. Simply read the book in advance, and come ready for a lively and informative discussion.

"Nature Book Group" programs take place from 7 to 8:30 p.m. on select Wednesdays at Creek Bend Nature Center within LeRoy Oakes Forest Preserve, 37W700 Dean St., St. Charles.

The upcoming books include: "In Control of Nature" by John McPhee on Nov. 16; "The Milagro Beanfield War" by John Nichols on Dec. 14; "The Art of Seeing Things: Essays by John Burrough," edited by Charlotte Walker, on Jan. 18; and "Lab Girl" by Hope Jahren on Feb. 15.
