Elmhurst Choral Union to perform Handel's Messiah

Elmhurst Choral Union and Orchestra performs the Christmas classic "Handel's Messiah" at 3 p.m. Sunday, Dec. 4, in Hammerschmidt Chapel on the campus of Elmhurst College, 190 S. Prospect Ave.

Director Scott Uddenberg leads Elmhurst Choral Union, soloists, and a professional orchestra in Handel's most popular work.

Featured soloists are Patricia Koch Budlong, soprano; Stacy Eckert, alto; Christopher Lorimer, tenor; and Bill McMurray, baritone. All have experience in both opera and classical repertoire and have appeared with area ensembles such as Chicago Symphony, Music of the Baroque, Lyric Opera, and the Grant Park Music Festival.

Tickets are $25 for adults, $23 for seniors and $10 for youth (ages 7-22). Tickets are available at elmhurstchoralunion.org, (800) 838-3006, or at the door.

Elmhurst Choral Union is an auditioned chorus performing classical masterworks and choral music of all eras.
