Republicans win McHenry District 1 seats

Two Republicans took two seats Tuesday night in District 1 of the McHenry County Board.

With all precincts reporting, Yvonne Barnes, who also serves as the board's vice chair, topped the field with 12,435 votes, according to unofficial results.

Tom Wilbreck of Barrington Hills garnered 11,144 votes to win a seat. Democrats Kerri Barber and Kathyrn Potter, both of Cary, rounded out the field with 8,363 and 8,007 votes, respectively.

The top two finishers will win seats on the county board.
