'America's Got Talent' tryouts in Chicago Saturday

If you've ever thought of trying out for NBC's "America's Got Talent," here's your chance.

The show will host open call auditions for its next season, Season 12, on Saturday, Nov. 12, at McCormick Place, 2301 S. King Drive, Chicago.

Interested acts can register at AGTAuditions.com, where there are more details and auditioning tips. Walk-ins are welcome, and people start lining up for the auditions at 6 a.m., a spokeswoman for the show said.

Chicago is part of a 10-city nationwide search for America's next big undiscovered entertainer. Acts unable to make it to the live auditions can submit their audition online.

Several people from the suburbs have gone far in the competition, including Northbrook teen Laura Bretan, an opera singer who was a finalist last season.
