Bartlett Fire Department collecting for Toys for Tots

The Bartlett Fire Protection District and the Auto Truck Group in Bartlett are again teaming up to participate in the Marine Corps Christmas Toys for Tots collection program. They have partnered since 2010.

"Toys for Tots makes a big impact on the local community. We are proud to be associated with Auto Truck Group and the Toys for Tots program sponsored by the Marine Corp" said Battalion Chief Ralph DeFreece.

Over the past 10 years, Marines have distributed an average of 15 million toys annually. While the Marines coordinate and manage the program, the success depends on the support of the local community.

You can bring any new unwrapped toy - large or small, but no stuffed animals or toy weapons - to one of the following locations by Dec. 9:

Auto Truck Group, 1420 Brewster Creek Blvd., 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. Monday-Friday

Bartlett Fire Station # 1, 234 North Oak Ave., 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. seven days per week

Bartlett Fire Station # 2, 501 Struckman Blvd., 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. seven days per week

Bartlett Fire Station # 3, 1575 W. Bartlett Road, 8 a.m. to 9 p.m. seven days per week
