Art sale to benefit Wayne Depot restoration project

The Wayne Historical Preservation Society is sponsoring "Fox Valley Faces & Places," an art exhibit sale fundraising benefit for the Wayne Depot Restoration Project. The sale event will be held from 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Saturday and Sunday, Dec. 3-4.

Showcased at the historic Old Town Hall at the intersection of Railroad and Glos streets in Wayne (just north of the post office and police station), the sale will feature 30 new paintings by longtime local resident Gene McCormick, whose art is in private and commercial galleries nationwide.

The paintings have been priced at special discounts for the holiday charity affair.

Gene McCormick also will be signing copies of his latest novel, "Obsessions."
