College of DuPage Foundation Hosts 'Chaotic Vanities' Fashion Fundraiser Jan. 7

The College of DuPage Foundation will host "Chaotic Vanities," a high fashion fundraiser benefiting student scholarships and featuring "Project Runway" all-star and COD alumna Peach Carr on Saturday, Jan. 7, at the McAninch Arts Center.

The show begins at 7:30 p.m., with a VIP reception starting at 6 p.m. The runway will showcase creations by Carr, acclaimed designers who support the College's Fashion Studies program, elite COD alumni designers, and select COD student designers.

Karen Kuhn, Director of the College of DuPage Foundation and Assistant Vice President for Development, said the show is a unique way to honor students.

"'Chaotic Vanities' will celebrate the 50th anniversary of both College of DuPage and the College of DuPage Foundation," she said. "It's exciting to bring back one of our alumna, Peach Carr, whose success reflects well on the College. Raising money for student scholarships will give current and future students an opportunity to receive a high-quality education, and we hope they will one day return and share their success stories with us."

Peach Carr was featured on the hit reality show "Project Runway" during Season 8 and All Stars Season 2. With her style dubbed "Country Club Chic" by "Project Runway" host and mentor Tim Gunn, Carr finds inspiration from her childhood in the music, art and vibe of the 1960s and 1970s. Notable clients include actress/writer Nora Dunn, Linda Yu, Leanne Trotter, "Real Housewife of New York" Alex McCord, and "Real Housewife of New Jersey" Dina Manzo.

Tickets are $175, which includes a VIP reception; $75 for the show only; and $35 for College of DuPage students. Company sponsorship opportunities are also available. For more information, visit foundation.cod.edu or call (630) 942-2462.
