Trinity Community Philharmonic Orchestra Performs Nov. 12

The Community Philharmonic Orchestra of Trinity International University performs on Saturday, Nov. 12, at 7:30 p.m. in the ATO Chapel on the Deerfield campus.

Director Eli Chen leads the Trinity Community Philharmonic Orchestra. He earned his master's degree in orchestral conducting from Northwestern University and has previously conducted the South Loop Symphony Orchestra and the Chicago Metamorphosis Orchestra Project.

Chen and the orchestra will present a program of works called "The Places Between," including Beethoven's Overture to Coriolan, Mozart's Symphony No. 36, and selections from Ravel and Mascagni.

The TCPO is a chamber-sized orchestra comprised of Trinity students and musicians from the community. The orchestra performs on-campus concerts and accompanies musicals, operettas, and oratorios performed by the Music Department.

Tickets are $8 for general admission, $5 for students and seniors, and may be purchased at the door or by calling 847-317-8021. The Deerfield campus of Trinity International University is located at 2065 Half Day Road.
