Author to discuss raising teens at Hoffman Estates event
Best-selling author John Duffy will discuss raising successful and resilient teens and tweens at 7 p.m. Tuesday, Nov. 15, in a program presented by the Hoffman Estates Department of Health and Human Services.
Duffy also will teach strategies to minimize conflict and maximize satisfaction in relationships with children. The program will blend self-reflective exercises for parents with words of wisdom from teens and parents whom Duffy has counseled throughout his career. He'll also discuss the benefits of being an available parent and offer valuable insight into the unique psyche of a teenager.
The free event takes place at Hoffman Estates' village hall, 1900 Hassell Road. To register, call (847) 781-4850.
