Santa returns to Woodfield Mall Thursday

Less than 24 hours will separate the end of the Chicago Cubs' remarkable season from the start of the holiday shopping season at Woodfield Mall in Schaumburg.

Woodfield will kick off the holiday season Thursday with Santa's early evening arrival at the shopping center. Conant High School's drum line will lead a parade heralding Santa's return at 6 p.m., beginning his nearly two-month stay at one of the state's most popular tourism and shopping destinations.

The parade will make its way to the Ice Palace in the mall's center court, where Santa's elves will offer kids an assortment of candy and Santa bell necklaces. As they wait for their visit with Santa, kids also can create holiday-themed crafts.

While attending the event is free, prices vary on different types of photo packages to buy during visits with Santa.

For more information, contact Woodfield Mall at (847) 330-1537 or shopwoodfield.com.
