Price your antiques at Palatine Library

Is there a treasure in your attic? Bring your antique - one item limit only - to Palatine Library's Antiques Fair for review from 1-3 p.m. Sunday, Nov. 6. Pictures are acceptable. Do not bring furniture, guns or weapons.

Meet with one of the following antique specialists (first come, first served) by ticket order; no sign up necessary: Lynn Carlson, art consultant; Thomas J. Joyce and Company, books; Dave Ekstrom, coins/currency and gold/silver jewelry; Frank Starkey-Arlington Coin, coins and currency; Michael Osacky-Baseball in the Attic, baseball cards; Scott Mitchell, stamps, postcards and currency; and John Leonard-Leonard Auction, general items.

For a larger or fragile item (furniture or multiple pieces) there is the opportunity to schedule a home visit with General Appraiser Mark Moran for a $75 per hour house call.

To make an appointment, contact Moran at moranm1953@gmail.com.

All who attend the Antique Fair will have a chance to win the latest edition of Kovals' "Antiques and Collectibles Price Guide" or "Antique Trader Antiques and Collectibles Price Guide." The Friends of the Palatine Library exclusively sponsor this event.

For questions, visit www.palatinelibrary.org or call (847) 358-5881, ext. 167.
