Aurora's Blackberry Farm finishes its Pumpkin Weekends

Blackberry Farm in Aurora celebrated the full glory of fall during its Pumpkin Weekends, which came to a close on Sunday.

"Pumpkin Weekends originated as a fall festival day, but it was so popular that we expanded it to include every weekend," said Sandie Gilmer, facility supervisor at Blackberry Farm, said in a news release. "This is such a fun time of year that we want to make the season last just a little longer."

One low admission fee opened the doors to unlimited carousel rides, hay wagon rides, pony rides, paddle boats and tours on the "Pumpkin Train." Also central to each weekend's festivities was the Little Farmer's Junction, along with the historic museums and interactive farm animal areas.
