Man arrested in home burglaries near Round Lake
A 19-year-old man has been arrested in connection with two burglaries in unincorporated Lake County near Round Lake.
Ovid Ramirez, of the 3300 block of Susan Circle, Park City, was arrested Oct. 26 and charged with two counts of residential burglary and two counts of theft.
According to police reports, Ramirez forced open a ground-floor window and burglarized a home on North Hickory Lane on April 14, and then again burglarized the same house Sept. 26.
In both cases, several items, including electronics, were reported stolen.
The Lake County sheriff's Warrants Team found Ramirez at a home in Waukegan Oct. 26 and arrested him. He's being held at the Lake County jail on $250,000 bail. He's scheduled to appear in court Nov. 21.
