Big band concert in Barrington Hills Oct. 30

The era of big band music will return to the Barrington United Methodist Church at 2:30 p.m. Sunday, Oct. 30, when the Big Band Sound of Deerfield performs a live concert for the benefit of Family Service of Barrington Area.

The 18-piece band is known for its exciting renditions of songs made famous by Glen Miller, Count Basie, Duke Ellington, Tommy and Jimmy Dorsey, and others.

Admission to the concert is free but a donation to benefit Family Service of Barrington Area will be taken. Barrington United Methodist Church is at 98 Algonquin Road in Barrington Hills.
