Wheaton Drama offers student workshops

Wheaton Drama will offer late fall workshops for students in kindergarten through eighth grade who want to learn basic onstage and acting techniques while they develop their imagination and creativity.

Children will explore acting through a series of theater and improvisational games. The ensemble-building class is designed to foster each student's self-esteem and help him or her become an independent thinker both on and off the stage.

Six-week workshops will be offered at Playhouse 111, 111 N. Hale St., Wheaton. The late fall session runs Tuesday, Nov. 1, through Tuesday, Dec. 6, with a makeup date of Dec. 13. Children in kindergarten through fourth grade will meet from 4 to 4:55 p.m.; fifth- through eighth-graders will meet from 5 to 5:55 p.m.

The cost is $100 per session per child. For information, email wdieducation@wheatondrama.org or call (630) 260-1820 and leave a message about registration.
