World Series parking prices no longer a premium in Cleveland

Tuesday was quite a day for the free-enterprise system in Cleveland.

With Game 1 of the World Series and Opening Night for LeBron James and NBA champion Cleveland Cavaliers going on at the same time, parking was at a premium downtown.

Garages in the vicinity of Progressive Field and Quicken Loans Arena were charging $80 for parking. If you wanted to walk a few blocks, you could find an outdoor lot charging $50.

With only Game 2 of the World Series going on Wednesday, the same garages were charging $30, perhaps proving that the free-enterprise system cuts both ways.
