Tenth Congressional District Democrats to hold awards dinner

The Tenth Congressional District Democrats holds its annual awards dinner Tuesday, Nov. 1, at 7 p.m. at Embassy Suites, 1445 Lake-Cook Road, in Deerfield. Doors open at 6:30 p.m., and there will be a buffet dinner. The keynote speaker will be prominent attorney, best-selling author, and social justice advocate, Scott Turow. Turow is the author of 10 best-selling works of fiction and two nonfiction books, selling more than 30 million copies worldwide. Turow was a recipient of the Order of Lincoln, considered the state's highest award, honoring "individuals whose contributions to the betterment of humanity have been accomplished in Illinois."
