Library Workshop to Feature Fun Astronomy Experiments

All ages are invited to "Hands on Astronomy" from 7-8:30 p.m., Monday, Nov. 14, in the Rasmussen Room of the Schaumburg Township District Library, 130 S. Roselle Rd., Schaumburg. Presenter Michelle Nichols of the Adler Planetarium, author of Astronomy Labs for Kids, will share fun experiments that can help teach science to kids in an engaging way. Experiments in the program, as in the book, are conducted using common household items.

Registration is required for this free program. To register, call (847) 923-3347 or visit the Adult Information Desk on the library's second floor. Copies of Nichols' book will be available for purchase and signing at the conclusion of the program.
