Avenue Stores brings plus size fashion to Berwyn with the opening of a new retail store in Cermak Plaza at 7003 Cermak Road. The city of Berwyn and Berwyn Development Corp. held a ribbon-cutting ceremony recently to welcome the new business to the neighborhood.

The Village of Schaumburg recently received the Distinguished Budget Presentation Award from the Government Finance Officers Association for meeting the highest principles of governmental budgeting. It is the third year in a row the village has received this distinction. Director of Finance Lisa Happ and Mayor Al Larson display the award.
