Comedian, activist offers workshops at CLC

Comedian, poet and activist Sampson McCormick will present an afternoon workshop and an evening performance Tuesday, Nov. 1, at the College of Lake County.

Both events are free and open to the public and will be held in Room C005, the C Wing Auditorium, 19351 W. Washington St., Grayslake.

The 3 p.m. workshop will focus on sexuality, race, activism and community. The 7 p.m. performance will cover hot-button topics such as sexuality, race, religion, and politics. The events are sponsored by CLC's LGBTQ+ Resource Center.

According to Todd Clark, The DCPlace, Sampson's "comedy offers riveting, refreshing and original takes on religion, sexuality, racism life and politics - you know, all those things there you weren't supposed to talk about in polite company."
