Frankfurt wins 3-0 in Hamburg to go 4th in Bundesliga

BERLIN (AP) - Hamburger SV's wait for its first Bundesliga win of the season continues as it was booed off following a 3-0 defeat at home to Eintracht Frankfurt on Friday.

Marco Fabian set up two of Frankfurt's goals as coach Niko Kovac's side moved up to fourth place.

Kovac had opted to rest goal-getter Alexander Meier by starting him on bench, while entrusting the Mexico midfielder Fabian to lead his attack. Fabian, like Meier, had three league goals coming into the game, but he had been involved in eight of Frankfurt's ten.

Fabian had the first effort midway around the half-hour mark, five minutes before Lewis Holtby turned striker Branimir Hrgota's cross into his own net.

There were whistles for the home side at the break and Hamburg's hopes took a blow when defender Dennis Diekmeier was sent off for a second yellow card following a studs-up challenge on Bastian Oczipka in the 57th.

Fabian set up Swiss forward Shani Tarashaj to score his first Bundesliga goal three minutes later, as he rifled the ball to the roof of the net after eluding a defender.

Kovac immediately replaced Tarashaj with Haris Seferovic, and the other Swiss striker needed only nine minutes to grab his first league goal of the season, again set up by Fabian.

Despite a change in coach with Markus Gisdol replacing the sacked Bruno Labbadia, Hamburg remains second from bottom with two points.

"I don't have the words," said Hamburg goalkeeper Rene Adler, who criticized his teammates for "giving up ... It's not on. A Bundesliga team can't do that."
